Pros

Five Star Professional has been my favorite employment experience to date. I enjoy helping in a company to deliver top industry professionals the valuable tools and services that can make their business stand out and it's fun to see clients get excited about it! I especially love my team - we cheer each other on when we hit/exceed our goals, as well as encourage each other in our personal ups and downs in life. The CEO and the management clearly communicates our company's vision and plan for success with us and often updates us with where we're at currently. Our company is always coming up with new and innovative ideas for improvements for our services, products, and how we do business. This makes the team work more interesting and energizing. I'm never left hanging on what to do in my job and how my role affects the success of my team and the organization. I like participating in our virtual happy hours and our employee recognition program. The program allows employees to nominate our co-workers or manager to be recognized for displaying our company's core values and going above and beyond with their clients and team. As a result the employee receives a gift card of their choice. It's fun to give kudos to others and receive them too from time to time. I appreciate most the diversity here and that great care the hiring managers take in selecting individuals who are dedicated, care, and are easy to relate with. The compensation is more than fair and we have opportunities for earning bonuses and career growth. I'm in my 5th role at the company and going on 8 years here. FSP contributes to my sense of community in life. :)

Cons

Working from home is great in that it can have it's conveniences and allow for more flexibility in maintaining healthy work life balance and habits. Although the downside is not being able to see my co-workers in the office and eat lunch together.

Pros

I've been in multiple different roles with Five Star Professional for 4+ years. My experience has been generally very positive - the company has a niche approach to their award products which provides for an easy conversation regarding selling. We also are not afraid to take some risks in attempts to move the company forward - the addition and commitment to expansion of product offering over the last 2 years is an example of this. Culturally, it's excellent. It is not a "dog eat dog" company, it's a company trying to move the needle with all employees in the same direction. When an excellent fit is added to the team, people thrive and are recognized. It is clear that this company understands that all employees matter in order to move the company forward and there are many attempts to show appreciation for their staff.

Cons

At times we move forward quickly on decisions without looking at the full picture - there are pros and cons to this as it helps decisions get made quickly but also may cause some extra work on the back end.
