Pros
Please forgive any grammatical mistakes, I am typing this on a smartphone.
Freedom Practice Coaching is a small company, but with that size, you get a level of intimacy with your co-workers that you can't really get at bigger firms.
I worked here for 2 1/2 years and left with a heavy heart. In all my years, this has been the first job that I am sad to leave.
Pros:
The staff and management genuinely care about each other's well being. Don't get me wrong, you will work hard, but you will find yourself WANTING to work hard because you want to help your team-mates. Along with that hard work comes some serious benefits though. Because of the size of the company, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in many fields. The company devotes a portion of time to learning and self-enrichment that I'm sure you will love.
The company celebrates their achievements together. This doesn't mean the management goes to a fancy restaurant while they order crappy pizza for their staff, they genuinely find ways to reward their employees with fun experiences, good dinners, and even the occasional bonus. When you go to work-related parties, you will notice that everyone is smiling and genuinely happy to be there. I really will miss those events.
I have never seen management act the way they act here. For example, my dog died after 10 awesome years. It happened quickly and was not a good way to say goodbye to your best friend. FPC was there for me. They worked with my schedule as I tried in vain to save my dog and even respected my need to grieve afterward. I would count this as a one-off, but it gets better: exactly one month later, my son was born premature, requiring my wife to be hospitalized for 7 days and my son to stay in the NICU for a little over one month. Again, management went ABOVE AND BEYOND, to make sure that I was as emotionally OK as I could be. No prodding, no under-handed comments about getting work done, just care and understanding.
I have seen this happen among other employees as well. Time and time again, FPC goes beyond what I expect of a company. Another employee's apartment caught fire. FPC organized a charitable donation program and even helped her directly.
Keep in mind. This is not a punch-the-clock job. This is a mission-driven company. They want you to have the same passion they do about health and wellness. (they have free fitness supplements available for employees)
In conclusion: If you are looking for a group of passionate individuals, look no further. You will enjoy getting caught up in their mission. This is not the average daily-grind, but it is a heck of a job!. I am sad to say goodbye to all the wonderful people I met.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY

Cons
Again, if you are looking for the standard "daily-grind" job, this may not be for you. Often, when you hear that you will work hard, its code for "we will work you to death". That's not the case.
Working hard at FPC means that you accept responsibility for your tasks and get them done. Need help? just ask. But don't expect a mindless, repetitive day ever. There will always be a new challenge to conquer.
You should know: once every 3 months, FPC has a quarterly event where they spend the weekend training doctors on how to be businessmen at a very swanky hotel (always in SATX). You will have to work that weekend. Expect to start work early and leave late. Regardless, even though it's a hard weekend, it's a fun weekend.
