Pros

* You get to choose your development tools and operating system! * Very solid work PCs with lots of RAM and monitors. * They implement just the right amount of Agile to be maximally productive (think of Crockford's book "Javascript: just the good parts"). * Mandatory automatic/unit testing and coverage minimum at 80%. * Fearless and open-minded development leads and Vice President. * Newly-remodeled office with bright colors, short cubicle walls, and a huge window on the longest wall overlooking a pretty lake. * Free food brought in for lunch-and-learn meetings, and monthly company updates. * Motorized STANDING DESKS! (all you have to do is ask)

Cons

* Small companies like this can be more fragile financially. Impulse had layoff in March 2017 due to some missed sales, for example. However, it was handled with tact and compassion. * 6-month waiting period before getting PTO and 401k participation (even if you have a lot of money to rollover from previous job)
