The value of being valued.
Pros
I have been employed full time with Konark Software nearly nine years. I say "with" Konark versus "at" Konark because we are all a team here. I have a high level of job satisfaction because Konark values the skills and experience that I bring to the company. The team is encouraged with relevant training opportunities when available, and ideas are listened to. The company has supported me and my team members through tough personal matters that disrupt normal operations. The company cares about its employees and their families, and in-turn has created a sort of family atmosphere amongst the team. The leadership is knowledgeable, practical, thoughtful, and can be relied upon for any number of matters that arise on or off the job. There is a real effort to ensure teams are functioning and communicating with each other and that adds a level of cohesion that is felt by the team members. Konark is a great company to work for, and I appreciate being valued for the work that I do.
Cons
Cons would be more industry/economy related as Konark is a small business competing against some big companies. I suppose that has advantages and disadvantages depending on perspective.
