Management, the schools management is some of the worst I have ever seen. They often refuse to answer messages and will throw teachers under the bus if the parents have any problems Materials, the teaching materials teacher are told to use range from useless to awful. The owner insists on creating these themself, dispite never working as a teacher. This results in nonsensical materials that don't follow any structure or wider learning objectives. Any feedback given to management about this is taken as a personal attack on the owner and they refuse to make any changes.

Maldives is quite conservative. The men will stare at you if your shoulders are exposed or hair is down or if you’re wearing shorts or a skirt. There’s no alcohol unless you go to another island and it’s very expensive. All the groceries are expensive because it’s imported. The salary is low so by the time you spend on groceries and bills you don’t have a lot to save. There isn’t anything to do on the island if you don’t like the beach. The management is bad. They don’t care about teachers, they only care about the paying parents. If the students misbehave they don’t really discipline them. They don’t support teachers and they come deliver worksheets to your apartment after hours or on weekends. It is unprofessional. They also are unsupportive with misbehaving students so they won’t take the teachers side. They will try to blame the teacher if the don’t like you. No room for growth, no benefit for students other than giving them worksheets to keep busy.
