      Good People and an Exciting Product

      Pros

      Modus is a technology first company, which values it's developers This is in most of the reviews, but Jon, the CTO is really accessible. He promotes the importance of developers taking "Product Ownership" which is great because it gives meaning to what can sometimes be a tedious job, and he backs this up by being genuinely excited to hear new ideas and feedback. This makes it a very rewarding place to work. He shows this level of respect to all his devs, even when when relatively new at the company Health plan is great Laid back atmosphere, video games, coffee and couches are available

      Cons

      Some of the development teams are mixed on-site/remote in different timezones, so sometimes communication can be tedious with your team members Kitchen isn't always fully stocked

      Pros

      Modus is THE PLACE to be right now! I can honestly say this is the best company I have ever worked for, and I love coming into work every day. Management is extremely compassionate and overall just some of the best people I have ever met. Can't really imagine working anywhere else. We have great benefits: matching 401k, an education program, great medical, delicious snacks and coffee are ALWAYS stocked and ready! At modus you'll be working with the best and brightest and learn a ton about business as well, while working with TOP TIER clients. Only the best need to apply! Modus also has a very hip, cool, laid back, but also productive atmosphere. Casual dress code! Definitely a very strong culture here, and everything is a team effort. You really get a chance to have creative input and like our slogan says, we are "Driven by Solutions".

      Cons

      Absolutely no cons at all. The negative reviews on here are LIES! This is an amazing place to work, and if you don't think so, something is probably wrong with you, not the company. If you're lazy and incompetent, this is not the place for you.

      This is definitely a glowing review. Thank you to whoever wrote it! While I appreciate all the compliments, even I can admit that it is not the perfect workplace. There is no perfect workplace. I could never call all of the negative reviews lies. In fact, after reading several reviews, many of the negative ones opened my eyes to items that need to be addressed. I do wish that employees would speak to me directly when there are problems, as opposed to posting anonymous reviews. I can admit that I have been preoccupied with the growth of the business, and keeping my finger on the pulse of operations took a back seat. I am making an effort to change that by communicating more with the entire company, and creating opportunities for one-on-one conversations with all employees. As a small, but growing company, it should not be difficult for me to make sure everyone has their chance to talk to me directly. This company provides a livelihood for my family, as well as the families of all employees. Constant improvement is a priority. Yet, it requires honest, direct communication from everyone.
