Ok for short term

Pros

There is room for progression if you have the correct personality and get on well with upper management but it is harder to go higher than store manager. The pay is good, but there isn't a work life balance, it is a good job if you do not have a family or do anything outwith work.

Cons

Working every weekend and over the festive period. You are expected to be available 24/7 and may frequently work over your contracted hours without pay or support. There are a lot of expectations in this role and burn out is common in store managers.

Pros

A good chance for progression in this company. I started off as a barista and I was able to work my way up to store manager. Very inclusive and supportive environment with good benefits.

Cons

Only one weekend off a month but it is fair for all store managers and is rotated.

Pros

I recently joined OCO in the newly created position to lead the HR function. I have been blown away by the passion and genuine interest in people development from the leadership team. It's truly a people first business which is felt at all levels. I love that there is a commitment to continuous development and that all Partners have a voice in shaping our culture. It's probably why so many people stay with OCO!

Cons

I am yet to find any cons!
