Pros
This company has a great work environment. They have hired well and everyone pulls their weight. Helping each other out is an expected part of the culture and is even part of the bi-annual reviews. The ownership is ethical and they care about their employees. Additionally, the benefits are very good for a small company.
Cons
This is a tough business. Hardware design has a lot of pitfalls and even after 27 years of being in business, there are always new challenges to get through. Budget and schedule to meet client expectations are always a focus and can be stressful at times. However, the ownership has an approach to the reality of the challenges and maintains an outstanding work environment despite the challenges of the business.

Pros
Small group atmosphere. Huge variety of projects. Structured product development process. Wednesdays at 5:30pm is microbrew beer night in the conference room. Every engineer can see the results of their work because development teams are usually 1-4 people per project.
Cons
There are ups and downs of a small business that can sometimes cause stress. Limited support staff so engineers are responsible for all aspects of product development.
