Pros

I spent many years of my working career at Prove. It is an amazing family, all striving to deliver a great service to its clients, who span a wide range of industries. To me the fact that we provided a wide array of digital marketing and technology services gave me a lot of knowledge about different technologies (from Craft CMS to Angular to React Native to Wordpress to BigCommerce, Shopify and many other platforms we have used over the years. I was given the opportunity to evolve my own skills so that, while our main deliverables were websites, apps and API integrations of various systems (CRM, marketing automation, Twilio, Intercom, Google stack products, etc.), I never felt like things were getting stale.

Cons

Prove is a boutique and super-smart agency but doesn't typically do long enterprise-level website development. Prove is really great at doing websites and apps that are high converting but I was ready to move on and start getting involved in massive builds after so many years here. Sad to leave.

Pros

1. Great company culture. - Every single member of the Prove team is genuinely friendly and supportive of each other; both professionally and personally. There is a deep sense of camaraderie and alignment to the common goal: producing quality work for our clients. Office outings are always a blast and inclusive of part-time contractors, significant others, and even many former employees. 2. Access to cutting-edge technology and creative strategies. - With a diverse client list, Prove is constantly testing new and exciting things across many different verticals. 3. Flexible work schedules. - As long as your work is high quality and deadlines are kept, Prove is very accommodating for people who occasionally like to work remotely or keep non-standard hours. 4. Freedom to learn/grow/expand on your current role. - There is no pigeon-holing or rigid role structure in place to limit career advancement. If you are proactive and want to learn a new skill: you can pitch it to the team, get mentorship and guidance, find the right place/client/campaign demonstrate it, and take on that new additional responsibility. 5. Minimal internal politics. - Prove has an internal mantra: "tough on problems, soft on people" and you can see it in practice every single day. All employees prioritize the client work and when a problem arises the focus remains on finding the best solution (instead of assigning blame).

Cons

It can be a bit of a sink-or-swim environment when you first start working at Prove. You often have the freedom to work in your own way, but for people that need more guidance this can often make simple deliverables into daunting tasks. Sometimes requests might not be clear and you are left to figure out your own way to solve it if you don't proactively ask for help or clarity.

Thank you, Prove team member, for this thorough and honest feedback. We definitely agree about the onboarding process. To that end, we have implemented a Learning Management System recently to provide job-specific training, work examples, and job knowledge quizzes so that new team members can be reasonably assured that they understand the work. Of course, nothing substitutes for one-on-one time so, as you know, we have an active mentorship program where more senior team members provide life and business mentoring to more junior members. I have mentored a number of our associates with beach walk-and-talks for years and I and my mentees have found them invaluable. We are a unique agency in that our team stays for a long time--this favors us over other firms because digital marketing is, frankly, a business of tiny details and synchronized swimming. A revolving door isn't helpful, and we are grateful to have had a stable team for many years. Thank you again for your feedback.

Pros

The entire team has deep knowledge in analytics and the customer journey touch points, and so can unleash at their level (from strategy to channel execution) optimizations that quickly increase results for clients. It is amazing to see such a robust process in action.

Cons

Can't really think of any.
