Great company culture and growth for young staff

Pros

The team is smart and passionate. They do a great job at mentoring, training and growing junior staff. Young people get a lot of responsibility and can be sure to have a great learning experience. Root cause does a great job thinking about company culture and interaction.

Cons

Given it is a social enterprise, the salaries are lower than roles in other industries. While the senior leadership is stable, the turnover is overall high given the number of junior staff leaving for grad school.

Pros

Everyone at the organization is incredibly kind and inclusive, making it a wonderful place to work. The mission is great, and the work is enjoyable and fulfilling. I worked here full-time for six months as a co-op, and I am so thankful for how much I learned in such a short period of time. It was genuinely a great experience and I would highly recommend Root Cause to anyone searching for work in the social sector!

Cons

Work can be done remotely or at shared office spaces, so this could be seen as a con for anyone looking for a fully in-person position. However, I personally did not mind this, as I was still able to meet many people I worked with in-person at the shared office spaces. The people here also do a great job at helping you to feel connected to your team, even if you are working remotely.
