Pros

Great staff and overall fun environment to be a part of. I really enjoyed showing up to work for the season that I was there. Everyone was very knowledgeable and prioritized safety.

Cons

Some days are pretty busy with the amount of customers. The staff to customer ration varied from time to time. Get used to dealing with larger groups at a time.

Pros

I've worked at Shoot Smart for approximately three years total. I'm writing this because I believe these reviews are mixed with outdated information and blatant lies. Yes, I'm a real person. No, I'm not a corporate shill. No, I wasnt asked to write this. If you want to join Shoot Smart's team and see if this is a real review, come find me we'll talk. There's like three people on the maintenance team, ask for the good looking one. I started as a part time Range Safety Officer and worked my way up to an Assistant manager position at the Grand Prairie store. I had planned to eventually take a store manager position when one eventually opened up. While operating as the Assistant Manager I frequently worked on aspects of the facility to improve my store. The owner of the company noticed my efforts and subsequently offered me a position in the maintenance department. I was absolutely ecstatic that my work was being recognized and rewarded. After doing well in the maintenance department for a while now, it's been determined that I'll be the next Head of Maintenance when my current boss retires next year. Unless you're familiar with the company moving from retail to maintenance may not sound like much of a move but it absolutely is. Despite my value on the retail side of operations, upper management recognized my talents and determined that I could do even more in another department and gave me the choice to make the move. On top of all that, upper management has opted to include me in many discussions regarding Shoot Smart's future and goals. For the record, I worked during the time periods in which some of these negative reviews were submitted. Although I do recognize there were some accuracies, a large portion of these were most likely written by people during the stressful covid period or disgruntled employees because some of the things that were written are completely blown out of proportion or make absolutely no sense. The accuracies are things that the company have improved upon and are no longer problems. So my Pros: - Great work environment. - Great team members. - Great management. - A great place to grow with. - Shoot for free. - Different from other retail jobs.

Cons

- Ice machines (inside joke.) In all seriousness, no job/career is perfect but this is one of the few places I've worked that I honestly enjoy. I currently have no complaints. Again, I'm real.
