Pros

Spidergap has been transformational in terms of how I view work, and balance it with life. Every person, and mostly every process at Spidergap, stays true to the 5 core values that we have: - Focus on impact: Every single (work oriented) meeting at Spidergap has a set agenda and time limit (which is strictly adhered to). They start with a summary & quick prioritization and end with a super quick recap, and next steps that everybody agrees on. It is beyond refreshing to be part of such a setup. Even the 10 minute meetings are _designed_ to maximize impact, make sure everyone's heard, and we value the time of all involved - and this focus on impact extends to all the other bits of my workday. - Be proactive and dependable: At Spidergap, I work with some _extremely_ smart and driven people. It constantly feels like the team is punching way above its weight simply because everyone does their best to be proactive and dependable - all the time, on good days and bad. - Pay attention to detail: Our customers _LOVE_ us because of how often we get the little things right - see our reviews on Capterra! Even at a team level (Engineering & Product), one of the reasons we get a lot done with a small team is because we're always switched on - from design, to development to our thorough peer review process! - Always look to improve: There is a strong emphasis placed on personal development, and everyone on the team - from your manager to your peers - helps keep you accountable and celebrates your progress towards those goals. In addition to the weekly 1-2-1's, coaching and mentoring happens over performance reviews and 360 feedback (yes, of course we use Spidergap to run our 360's :P), a generous learning allowance is provided to help you upskill yourself and keep growing. - Enjoy the journey: The big one. It's hard to put into words how different working at Spidergap feels - I've had my manager reach out and express concern over why I was online after work hours, I've had co-workers coach me on how to plan out a great holiday, I've had calls revolving solely around designing a healthy exercise regimen - there's a LOOONG list of anecdotes I can share. The underlying theme here - is that the company and the people here actually want you to be _HAPPY_ at work and outside of it. We don't work ungodly hours, but we get an ungodly amount of work done in that time. Oh, and we have some frankly bonkers annual meet-ups! Long story cut short, Spidergap has a truly world class culture, embedded in its very DNA. I am challenged at work, and happy outside of it - and know that the people I work will celebrate every small success and cheer me on when the going gets tough. My Mondays and Wednesdays are just as great as my Fridays at Spidergap :D

Cons

- The size of the team and the scope of the work we do often necessitates that we wear multiple hats - can be a bit overwhelming for people who're not inclined towards a small bit of multitasking. - We're a 100% remote team, distributed over North America, Europe, and Asia - which makes it damn near non-negotiable to have superlative written and verbal comms.

Pros

- The best coworkers you'll ever work with - brilliant, high agency, driven individuals who also happen to be some of the nicest, most supportive people around. You won't be the smartest person in the room, but you'll get all the mentorship and coaching you need to get there! - An awesome product roadmap, backed by clear goals and rigorous planning. Particularly exciting for new engineers, who'll get to work on big, impactful features that support employee development for our customers using the same best practices Spidergap uses internally. - Exceptional focus on employee well-being. Great work-life balance with enough flexibility to help you live your best life. - Comprehensive benefits package, including remote work support and many other perks. - Highly process driven culture makes onboarding into different roles as painless as it can get. - Approachable and transparent leadership, especially the founders.

Cons

- Can be a fair bit of adjustment for people coming from teams where things are less process & values driven. - May need to wear multiple hats from time to time - though any changes to role/responsibilities are accompanied by a thorough, carefully planned onboarding, and excellent support from your manager!

Pros

- Fantastic team of hard-working, passionate and lovely people - Culture of support and transparency throughout entire team, including management - Guidance on personal development and encouragement to explore new areas your skills might be suited to - Policies and generous benefits in place to ensure a healthy work-life balance

Cons

- Small team so you can find yourself juggling many responsibilities/higher workload sometimes, but in general all team members are always happy to step in and provide support - 100% remote work with no office space/regular in-person contact, which may not suit everyone
