Pros

Good people, overall less volatile. But I did see several layoffs as they transitioned to more traditional performance metrix

Cons

Lots of nepotism. If you know someone... it doesn't matter that you have no degree or experience. If you're a manager you'll be able to get all your unqualified friend's jobs. Then you can give them good performance reviews and killer raises. If you not the manager's grade school friend be prepared to struggle.

Stable and good Benefits

Pros

Stable employment (layoffs not common, large company) Benefits (90% health insurance premiums covered, free clinic, gym for associate and family, vision and dental included) Personable and friendly Company has principled values and embraces improvements.

Cons

Inadequate teaching. Need to learn as you go and through messing up often. High pressure and stressful when issues lead to production delays. Lots of focus purely on performance metrics. Turns you into a number. No paid overtime, yet there is a culture of working extra to get ahead. Slow to change problems in the team unless they are quick fixes.
