Job Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Azure Data Engineer to join our growing data and analytics team. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Azure cloud technologies, big data processing, and scalable data engineering solutions.
This role requires hands-on experience in designing and developing modern data platforms, building ETL pipelines, optimizing large-scale data processing workflows, and ensuring data quality, security, and reliability across enterprise environments.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data storage solutions using Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Blob Storage.
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and processing within Azure environments.
- Develop scalable data models to support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.
- Utilize Azure Databricks and Apache Spark to process and analyze large and complex datasets.
- Implement data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance processes to ensure data integrity and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, data analysts, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Optimize data processing performance and ensure high availability of data platforms.
- Participate in code reviews, deployment activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering and Azure cloud technologies.
- Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Blob Storage.
- Strong coding experience in PySpark, Python, and SQL.
- Good understanding of Apache Spark Core and big data technologies.
- Experience in designing and implementing scalable data ingestion frameworks on Azure.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of data security, governance, and compliance best practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working on enterprise-scale cloud data platforms.
- Knowledge of modern data warehousing and lakehouse architectures.
- Azure certifications are an added advantage.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
