Pros
G4 Flight Attendants are home every night and reliable to keep it that way. Being a FA for G4 is more like a day job which is really nice. The schedule is easy to work with after some seniority build up. Our most recent TWU contract has given us significant pay increases and scheduling protection. There is a small company feel amongst flight crew members as you fly with a lot of the same people often which allows you to build meaningful connections which is not normally possible at larger carriers. Upward growth into leadership positions is very attainable here because we are relatively small and it’s easy to get ahold of management to develop a relationship.
Cons
This is a low cost carrier and it shows up in a lot of ways in the Inflight group. Inflight Management changes often which leads to less consistency in expectations. Ultimately this means that the work group is usually left fending for themselves when they really need the support of leadership. Our inflight tools are mediocre at best (POS iPad, inflight sales items, uniform pieces, medical emergency tools, etc). We work with what we got but often are left wanting and feeling like we are not valued enough to be provided with basic functioning equipment. As long as you don’t let those daily annoyances bother you, you’ll be fine! It’s a great company to work for as long as you don’t let the things I mentioned bother you much.
