1. I've been with Appen for 7 years and the Support team has always been slow (average 2 months response time) and unknowledgeable. There is clearly no training or concern with the support team to resolve issues. There are ticket ratings, however, the tickets are obviously to appease us as there has not been any improvement with support since I've been with Appen. Also, the support team at Appen will just push a button and reply to your issue with a generic/automated message that has nothing to do with the actual issue.
2. As Evaluator's/rater's, we have no one that we escalate issues to when the Support team takes 2 months to respond, responds with generic automated messages and when they do respond, they inquire if we are still having the "issue" which makes no sense. Why would we not still have the issue? They are aware there is no one for us to escalate to which is the reason they use the tactics they do,
3. The hourly pay is lower than the minimum wage of 48 states. Based on chat, most people are not doing this as a "side gig". It's the only income they have.
