The wider company culture was one of fear.

Management and company direction needs to change

      Software engineer
      Former employee
      America, AL
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Engineers are talented and smart. Remote work culture is good. Traveling to the company wide meetups is nice to meet others

      Cons

Management is not technically competent enough compared to other tech companies (although better than non-tech companies). Alot of micromanagement. Top down company initiatives get in the way. Review process is not constructive. Feels like every man for himself and not enough collaboration

Very toxic place to work unless you like constantly being rated

      Anonymous employee
      Current employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

      - Flexible work culture - Remote - Strong tech background

      Cons

      - Horrible review system - Very manipulative environment - male dominated - "Every man for himself" - Fire you very quickly - associates get 1 year before they cull them if they don't get promoted. You have to be top 10% to be promoted.

Good money, remote from all countries, weird evaluation system

      Software engineer ii
      Current employee
      Athens, Athens, Attica
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Salary ranges are high, at least in Europe. Although they are moving to a compensation system which aims to normalise this. I.e. they want all engineers to be able to buy 500 cheesburgers per month, how much does this cost in their country? This kind of thing. The remote culture and that the whole company meets every 6 months is really awesome and you get to meet and interact with so many fantastic people. There are a lot of processes in place and rigor.

      Cons

Sometimes it feels the we are developing software in a bubble. The evaluation system is weird, in which you get evaluated by your peers and 10% every year is out. This is turning more and more into a popularity contest, where teams are inclined to put good reviews on everyone, so that they don't lose members. And this keeps creating a positivity inflation in reviews

Great place to work and grow while being surrounded by great people.

      Software engineer
      Current employee
      Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

      - Being surrounded by great and smart people - Great work-life balance and culture - Advanced technical stack

      Cons

      - Benefits are lacking mainly because of the company being a fully remote one

      Lost its way

      Anonymous employee
      Former employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Friendly and supportive team Lots of autonomy

      Cons

The company has become hyper focused on implementing policies and changes in ways which have no clear goal or benefit. Often such processes are updated last minute with little to no effective communication. Product has no focus, segments are developed for 6-12 months before the next initiative starts and then the half baked product decays. Quality suffers. Internal processes mean people are stuck with busy work which again has no clear value for the effort put in. Little to no time to invest in personal development the more senior you get. Burnout culture is fast becoming a badge of honour internally, along with undermining your colleagues or other teams.
