Pros
Based on my experience, I would not apply for a job here.
Cons
The interview with the hiring managers was virtual, which tells me a lot about the workplace. If they are afraid to show themselves in person and invite the candidate to see their premises, the culture must be lacking transparency and is probably quite cold. Any workplace that keeps their candidates at arm's length lacks depth and does not value its employees.
At the beginning of the interview, the HR rep read a script about the interview procedures - she rushed through it, as if it was something she needed to get out of the way. First poor impression: incapacity to speak freely.
The rest of the interview was very scripted too, and both the HR rep and the Hiring Manager seemed stressed and tired.
I have never experienced anything like that in my life.
You would think that government offices would have more professional hiring practices, but it seems they don't.
