Pros
As long as you’re putting in your 8 hours and getting your work done, no one’s breathing down your neck about when you log in or out. The work-life balance is genuinely solid, which is something I truly appreciate!
On the engineering side, things get interesting fast. The projects are challenging and push you to stay sharp, especially with all the Google Cloud and modern stack work going on. It can get stressful at times, but it’s balanced out — the company recognizes the effort and backs it up with performance bonuses for the tougher, high-impact projects.
There’s a strong focus on learning and development, and the culture is solid. People are competent, and easy to work with — no politics, no micromanagement (yet)
Cons
Sometimes it feels like there should be one more engineer on the project. Tight deadlines do get intense when you’re handling everything solo. They do compensate fairly for overtime and performance, but the constant time pressure does wear you down.
