More focused on Woke agendas than monitoring software

      Software engineer
      Former employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Good pay and good stock RSUs.

      Cons

DEI content encompasses 15-25% of Engineering All Hands meetings. Atmosphere is hostile to any beliefs different than their majority liberal ideology, even if you just stayed silent. Very exclusive and intolerant. They also culture an environment of victimhood, everyone is offended and a victim of something here.

Toxic, obnoxious, incompetent leadership and management

      Graphic designer
      Current employee
      New York, NY
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Great fruits, drinks, snacks, food bar.

      Cons

      - Leadership lacks competence and fosters a negative work environment. - Compensation is below industry standards. - Employee benefits have been declining. - Limited career growth opportunities, making promotions slow and difficult. - No bonuses, and stock grants are minimal. - The CEO and most leaderships have poor design sense but disregards professional input. - Poor work life balance.

      Stay Away! Especially for non-tech

      Talent acquisition
      Former employee
      New York, NY
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

      Stock options and gym reimbursement

      Cons

Datadog is a very toxic place especially if you’re in a non-tech role where you are deprioritized and uncared for. Talent acquisition has terrible, selfish leaders who only care about themselves and pushing their teams past their limits. Your colleagues will backstab you again and again to gain preferential treatment. The leaders encourage this type of behavior and get excited and make jokes about it. Additionally,I It is an environment riddled with sexism and racism — is it not 2026? NYC at that? The lack of resources and support compared to engineering is astounding. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Many of the good reviews are fake or are by people who perpetuate the toxic culture. The only good thing is the stock options. Stay far away from this place!

      Good company but

      Anonymous employee
      Current employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Genuine, nice, and hard working people to work with - keep the company alive and worth coming to the offices for. Great lunches + snack/coffee/fruit options. Good offices and good office culture - plenty of events.

      Cons

I feel many employees have a "live to work" attitude and it seeps into the company culture. Extremely metrics focused, don't look at nuance. A lot of Director plus level have scaled and been promoted with the business as it grew, going from IC's to now senior leadership - resulting in people now leading orgs at an enterprise scale that have never done so before. Large amount of employees based in US/Americas - EMEA works around US times and APAC forgotten often.
