What are working conditions like at Dentsply Sirona?

Good team members and team leaders, workload is split evenly, a lot of events (from company or partners), nice benefits, hybrid work (upon agreement with managers), nice office, paid taxi if working late shifts

Pay could be better for part-timers, office's AC is monitored by the whole building not floors, office is open, so it can be loud

First the leadership in the company is terrible. They’re not dumb but they definitely aren’t A tier either. It’s a result of people being hired into a role to manage people doing jobs they know nothing about. Every time they get the opportunity to call onto a subordinate for help in a specific area they would rather take it on themselves and not solve the problem so they can look like the hero and get a promotion. This hurts the company which is why matrix line was behind for so long. All leaders are arrogant and will NEVER admit when they make mistakes or acknowledge areas where they can improve upon. Everyone in this company blames their team members (management is the worst) instead of being leaders and accepting the responsibility. A true leader would take the blame and think of what they can do to improve this company instead of saying it’s out of my hands I’m surrounded by idiots. It all boils down to leadership at the end of the day and corporate will do literally nothing no matter what you say in employment survey or how many people complain because they’re putting out their own fires trying to please shareholders. Second. If you go to any dentist office they will tell you how much they HATE Dentsply. Not they don’t like them but that they hate the lack of support among other things. You bring this to your leaders attention and they just laugh and say don’t worry they still buy from us they just don’t know it. Once again leadership. Quality. They buy the dumbest inspection machines because of their inaccuracy it allows more parts to pass QC. I do a more thorough check and accurate than the QC people which is no fault of their own it’s once again. Leadership. Safety is great at the company. Sometimes over safe and you have to explain to EHS that at some point people have to use their heads. It’s the one good thing the company can do. Lastly. In this specific division it is so bad MANAGERS are leaving without 2 weeks notice. You will have 8 bosses in 5 years which is absurd but it’s because people start working see how you’re treated and then just leave immediately. This isn’t non skilled labor, this is people with decades of experience in their career. Lastly this companies stock has plummeted to early 2000 levels marketcap. Do you know how much inflation we’ve had since then? Because the company can’t turn a profit because sales are declining 10% YoY (how long you going to keep using byte as an excuse?). Meanwhile, ALL competitors are up 10% YoY. This company will be bankrupt in less than 5 years. They have barely any cash left to spend, they’re over leveraged, and sales are declining. The market laughs at them and they’re still worried about DEI lol.

Nice offices, good coworkers, work was also okay. I think the pay was reasonable. Never had any problems within the company.

They're a little stingy with teambuildings and similar events, but there are often some smaller office events that are nice.

Big corporation, decisions from the very top with limited consideration for local particularities and annex businesses (out of tiny acorns mighty oaks grow)

Poor management and no guidance for growth. Very silo environment, sometimes you forget other people work here. Office is depressing and outdated. Most people you engage with are in Europe or China so hiring only in the Waltham area feels so forced. Talent can be much more diverse and impactful if this was a remote first company for tech. I don’t recommend this for anyone who still values growth and learning new skills
