Pros
Some teams and managers are great, but their efforts are often overshadowed by poor upper leadership.
Cons
This company used to be a great place to work when I started four years ago. I was proud to be here—I even referred several friends and family members to join the team. Unfortunately, what once felt like a positive, supportive environment has steadily declined.
Despite consistently taking on more responsibilities and navigating the rising cost of living, my raises have never exceeded 1% annually. There has been no recognition of loyalty, performance, or inflation. The message this sends to employees is loud and clear: your work is not valued here.
Recently, I began seeking new opportunities, and I’ve now made the decision to leave. The timing couldn’t be more appropriate. In just the past few weeks, remote flexibility has been abruptly revoked, and an out-of-touch 'business professional' dress code was enforced—prohibiting even DMG-branded apparel at DMG. The irony speaks for itself.
Leadership, particularly Bill Vols, has continuously failed to communicate changes in a timely or respectful manner. The result is confusion, low morale, and an environment where employees feel alienated and disposable.
Instead of addressing real concerns, management focused on maintaining their “Great Place to Work” badge—going so far as to pressure employees to give high survey scores to keep up appearances.
DMG has lost sight of what made it great: its people. I hope this feedback serves as a wake-up call before more talented individuals walk out the door.
