Disappointing experience at Fleek Media. I joined for a 3-month internship, but due to the work environment and expectations, I ended up leaving after just 2 months. As an intern, I handled SEO-related tasks, including website listing. However, the experience was further marred by delayed stipend payment after I left the company. It's been almost 2 months since my departure (19th May) and the stipend is still pending, despite multiple follow-ups. When I raised concerns about the stipend delay, the HR's response was particularly concerning - when I mentioned I hadn't received stipend for the last 19 days of my tenure and wanted to offer it to the new company, the response was to have them talk to HR directly, rather than resolving the issue. Later, when I continued to follow up, the HR seemed more interested in 'ending the matter professionally' rather than actually resolving the pending payment. Moreover, the reason given for delaying intern stipends seemed like a blanket excuse, as employee salaries were processed on time. This disparity in treatment between interns and employees was notable. Not a great place for interns looking for a fair and supportive work environment.
