      Alright Job, Good Boss

      Delivery driver
      Former employee
      Bellingham, WA
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Consistent schedule, lots of free time when on drives, break from the monotony of standing around making sandwiches.

      Cons

Miles on your own personal car you could have used to drive you to other places rather than delivering sandwiches and you pay for your own gas with little compensation. Part-time usually gets stuck with closing shifts since afternoons you're at school

      Good hob

      Pros

Free food, short shifts. Laid back staff

      Cons

      No gas reimbursement for drivers

      Pros

Paid for gas, friendly coworkers, free sub

      Cons

      Low wages. No other cons

      Business outlook

      Pros

The time that I worked there was pretty easy, most of the time I would be on my phone and talking with co workers if I weren't driving.

      Cons

It's really hard to take days off if you're the only driver for that day. No reimbursement for gas.

      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Easy to learn and the pipeline of order, to sandwich making, to delivery is fairly seamless. Employer will usually understand if you take a while during busy lunch hours because traffic can be unpredictable. Your safety will always come first.

      Cons

Tips are used as a basis to pay you less than minimum wage ($17/hr in greater Seattle area as of writing this, got paid $15/hr). Tips are obsolete because you pay for your own gas.

      Cons

They no no pay gas bill😢

      Pretty good for fast food

      Delivery driver
      Former employee
      Riverton, UT
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

With tips and mileage reimbursement, the pay for drivers is fantastic. They're typically pretty flexible working with your schedule and requested days off (with enough notice), but it can depend on the general manager.

      Cons

Staff is definitely seen as interchangeable and expendable by upper management. No set system for giving raises, so you can be stuck at the same wage level indefinitely. Staff managers are overworked to the point of burnout. Non-management employees are very intentionally kept at part-time to avoid having to offer benefits (and the health insurance they do offer is basically worthless).

      Awful Management

      Delivery driver
      Current employee
      Lewisville, TX
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

You can make fast cash. If you really work hard and are willing to work understaffed, and pick up shifts, you can make over 15-25$/hr. But then there is gas and car maintenance . I believe I made just over 18$/hr after gas, but I also almost always said yes to picking up shifts when they asked. Lots of freedom and little oversight when Head Manager isn't in store

      Cons

The management is awful. Essent was the manager and he is far to young and inexperienced to be leading. He takes things personally and is constantly putting on a show. There is no accountability and the mroe you do to help, the more you will be taken advantage of. Mon-Fri 10-2 are the best hours to work, but that is also when Essent manages the store and if you don't laugh at his jokes and pretend to be entertained, and don't stick up for yourself or even just demand to receive legal working conditions, he is not going to like you and schedule you off the shift until he needs you. And he will need you in time because the turnover is really crazy high. It is owned by people who run over a dozen JJ and this one is one of the lower producing JJ in the franchise so it gets almost no upgrades in kitchen materials or even regualr maintenance.
