What is the salary like at NSU (Nova Southeastern University)?

NSU is a private university and compared to other private universities in South Florida (University of Miami, St. Thomas University, etc.) the salaries are much lower.

Lots of support, decent pay, everybody is helpful and friendly, lots of campus benefits (gym, parking, etc)

Great environment, easy job, decent pay for what you are doing.

No benefits, won't let you make up hours if you take off work

Incredible staff and flexible work hours. Had an amazing experience working there, the team is very kind and we were able to help several students. If we did not have an appointment we could also use the time to study or talk to the other tutors being payed for those hours. I loved working there!

The salary might not be as great comparing to jobs outside college, however, it is a very flexible and overall simple job (if you understand the subjects you are tutoring) where you can easily focus on both studying and making some extra money.

Toxic; micromanaged; poorly managed; favoritism; extremely disorganized; mgt always blames you never look at themselves; outdated work systems especially in fundraisi8ng (everybody sees all your work, your AGE everything in the evaluation system to increase the pressure); childish management; the pay is terrible with no raises; you have to come in every day all dressed up

The location and food are both good

The pay is not competitive. Unqualified leadership.

There are great benefits here and that usually keeps people here for a long time. Set schedule allows for other endeavors you are pursuing to flourish.

The pay is not great and in this economy just doesn't cut it. There is no room for growth.

Very little room for growth, demoralizing environment, nepotism is rampant, pay is not competitive, high turnover leads to ongoing staff shortages and stagnation. There appears to be no long term vision. Lack of transparency and significant discrepancies between departments of the same college.
