What is the hiring process like at Sheetz?

Fast hiring process and decent starting pay

Lack of in person (not on computer) training, work you harder and expect more than is reasonable, food is disgusting and embarrassing to serve, and understaffed constantly.

The only pro of working at Sheetz is you'll receive a paycheck. Everything else was awful.

- A single 30 minute break no matter shift length (often 12+ hours) - Recruitment and hiring process is slow, and recruiter will lie to get you in the door. - Store management seems to have no clue what is happening beyond the next task they need to complete, no direction or big picture understanding of anything. - Assistant managers reassigned to random stores to "improve performance" because senior managers have no idea how to evaluate performance on an individual basis. Seriously do not work at Sheetz unless you have zero other options.

-They pay very well for a gas station/convenience store -Hiring process is simple -Can start working almost immediately -Work is simple

-Employees swear and talk about sexual things and managers allow it -Training is not as in-depth as they tell you it will be -Some locations have great management, but some have terrible management I had issues clocking in and had to contact them for my first paycheck, they did not set up my employee ID properly until about a week later. Had a lot of technical issues and lack of communication.

You get a 30 minute break, employee discounts are amazing, access to health insurance. Points method according your performance / attendance. Well paid with opportunity for growth

Sometimes understaffed since they are constantly hiring new people and it’s getting hard to get people to work in the industry after 2020. It could get a little overwhelming during rush hours
