Terrible management across the board in every department with the exception of every few.
Low pay for employees even tho the cost of living has gone up.
PTO forget it you have to use 3 pto days before you are able to use your eib (sick time) and then on top you still need a doctors note after 3 days but can go right into using sick time even if you have a note saying you can not be in for whatever the reason is.
Understaffed departments across the board.
Little to no growth opportunities.
Administration is a joke they cater to there board of governors and lower management more so then there employees. And that’s if they are even in
the building.
The organization and team appear to be very committed to the values and objectives which center around helping children. This makes it a joy to work for them.
Cons
The pay could be better, but it is a charity/not for profit, so I believe that is to be expected.
Mandatory call offs. Not union. Less pay than other hospitals while also giving less benefits. They recently went through and streamlined all the hospitals/clinics. Took away half the PTO that we accrued, can only accrue sick bank for hours worked but we get called off a lot. People who have pensions are having them taken away or changed, etc. They do all this under “what everyone wanted” as if we’re stupid. It’s to save money. You will be financially screwing yourself yo work here.
