I had a first-round interview with the VP of the department that seemed to go well enough. I was immediately moved on to the next round, which was an 8(!)-hour long exercise. I thought this sounded egregious because it was. After I sent it in, they never set up a next meeting, which I followed up to request to at least get feedback. Very disrespectful of my time.
