I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at AAPC (Salt Lake City, UT)
Interview
Poor communication with candidates which leads to an incredibly disorganized interview process. The black and white of the resume seemed more important than the capabilities described by the resume. Huge red flag.
They ghost and it wasn’t just my experience. I had been warned of the ghosting by multiple people before I applied. The role excited me, so I didn’t heed their warnings. Silly me.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Obsessed with the resume to the point of being ridiculous. It was never about, “How did X prepare you for this role?” rather more time was spent on the “What does this title mean?” “What does this specific word mean?”
They didn’t care much about me. They cared about parsing every word of the resume. It seemed as though someone previously caused AAPC to dive into this level of detail.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at AAPC (Salt Lake City, UT) in Jul 2021
Interview
I went through a six-step interview process with this company from May through July 2021. The organization checked my references and then simply stopped communicating with me to let me know their hiring decision. A few weeks after they stopped communication, the position appeared again on an association industry job board. It was a long interview process and knowing my status would have been the professional route to take.
