I interviewed for the Business Analyst role at ACARA with the Manager, Technology Delivery. Unfortunately, the experience was bad. Rather evaluating my skills and suitability for the role, the discussion leaned heavily on sarcastic remarks that seemed more dismissive than exploratory.
At one point, the interviewer questioned why I hadn’t received LinkedIn recommendations for all of my jobs (20+ year experience) —a line of questioning that felt unnecessarily personal and off-topic. I maintained professionalism throughout, but it was clear the conversation lacked mutual respect and genuine engagement.
The second panelist (older woman), remained mostly silent and appeared to be observing rather than contributing to the interview process.
Overall, it was a disappointing experience. Even if I were offered the role, I would have respectfully declined.
