      Staff Automation Engineer-Embedded Systems Interview

      15 Jun 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Bengaluru
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at AMD (Bengaluru) in Jun 2026

      Interview

I interviewed for the Automation Engineer role (Embedded Processor Development team, Bangalore), and honestly it was one of the most unprofessional interview experiences I've had. The interviewer joined nearly 7 minutes late with no apology. Then, partway through, he simply walked away to talk to someone else leaving me sitting there waiting and came back after some time as if nothing had happened. As a candidate who blocked time and prepared seriously, it's hard to describe how disrespectful that feels. And to top it off, after all that, I was told there's a "gap" between my resume and the job requirements. My resume was shared well in advance. If there was a mismatch with the JD, why schedule the interview at all? The whole thing felt like a complete waste of my time and effort. I walked in genuinely excited about AMD as a company. I walked out disappointed not because of the outcome, but because of how little a candidate's time and effort were respected. Whoever conducts interviews should at least show basic courtesy: come on time, stay present, and be prepared. Candidates don't show up to tolerate that kind of attitude. Advice to management: Respect candidates' time. Screen resumes properly before scheduling, start on time, and don't disappear in the middle of someone's interview.
