Hung up the phone 10 minutes into a 30 minute initial interview. I felt 3 to 5 red flags in my body just through casual conversation with the recruiter. I've worked for national banks, global manufacturing companies, SaaS software companies, and mid-size companies like AMH. These mid-size companies are *always the toxic micromanage type that hide behind upbeat voices and smiley faces. I got the proverbial "ick" from the recruiter and just hung up. Came to glassdoor to see if I was overreacting just to read reviews and learn my intuition was correct. I'm not going to say what they did wrong, because I don't want them to pivot their tactics to lure talented people into a crappy work environment.
