Flew internationally at my expense for an in person interview after a successful online interview. Was told I would have the an opportunity to meet the team and have a tour of C:Drive. The second interview was conducted by mangers with no technical expertise, and only a single engineers asked relevant technical questions which were very basic.

Preceding the interview was a Codility test that’s not very hard, but assumes you’re very familiar with a particular version of a framework while providing no help in form of Intellisense while penalising for Googling. The test implementation is very frustrating. The interview was centred around a system design. A task was set and PO available for any clarifications. The interviewers were friendly and stopping often to ask clarification so I could tell if I’m moving in the right direction and adjust if needed. There were more extension questions at the end which I felt were targeted to get to the edge of my confidence range. They varied wildly from security and integration with an onprem system to performance and monitoring.
