I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ATCC (Manassas, VA) in Jun 2018
Interview
Contacted via email to set up a phone screen about a week after applying. A few days after the phone screen, received another email to schedule an in-person interview. Had a panel interview with the hiring manager, lead biologist, and one of the biologists on the team. Questions were pretty much focused on experiences listed on resume. Did not get an offer, but was relieved to not have to work with the lead biologist as he was rude, often attempted to contradict my answers, never smiled, and didn't even shake my hand as I left.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ATCC in Apr 2025
Interview
The process was straightforward. I had never experienced a 5 minute "interview". It was similar to a phone screening. I was originally rejected; However, I was re-interviewed at a later date and offered a position. My second interview I was able to ask questions and had more information on the actual position, so I was able to cater my responses to the questions.
The person who interviewed me was not great at communication and was late to the interview but still a simple straightforward interview. They asked about my experience and wanted key details.
