I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at AUTO1 Group (Berlin) in Jul 2018
Interview
The process started with hr screening call, took about 30 mins to talk a bit and some basic filtering tech questions. Then the second step was a call with a senior dev, that took about an hour, deep questions about JavaScript in gral and some pair programming. After that they sent me a coding challenge to deliver it within a week, pretty simple and straight forward, the importance was mainly to see your coding style and patterns that you apply. After that I had a final call with two senior devs, the call was purely to talk about my code in the challenge and the things that I used in it. They also had multiple advanced topic questions in the matter too. After that I had a final call with the recruiter to offer me the job. The process was very smooth , the communication with the recruiter was a bit slow , I end up thinking that they had a lot of stress and candidates on top of them. They could improve their communication but the process was fairly simple.

Interview
HR was 5 minutes late, did not turn on the camera and started asking questions right away without even saying they were sorry to keep me waiting. They were basically asking questions like robots non-stop both technical and behavioral. It was like tech interview made by an HR which makes no sense.

Interview
All the people I met along the interview track were really nice. First interview with HR folk, will ask your pretty simple java questions during the process of screening. The second interview is a theory, lasted for 1 hour, you will be asked a lot of lang questions, to resolve or explain the issues on different pieces of code. The third interview lasted about 90 minutes, live coding, you will have to write a simple feature and then will be asked to improve it, with no dependency injection support, pure java, also some questions should be about ci/cd processes. I failed here, unfortunately. The fourth interview should be about system design, The fifth interview should be the final interview with the boss, I believe.

Question 1
Given the piece of code what issues could you name and how would you fix it?
It is time consuming: 3 stages. It has medium hard live coding and technical interview also it has system design. I dont like the fact that it was so long ;9
