Quick backstory. I originally was offered a position with this company about a year ago as an SDR but had to decline at the moment. Nothing against them at all. But I wrote an email to them a year later and asked if the position was still open. He said no but he said wanted to talk regarding another role which was Junior AE (pre-role before AE). They took out the SDR Role because they outsourced it to a company to do it and has been working well. So the Junior AE position was something new that they wanted to try. This was not a previous role that they had available. Everything was fine until the last round. First meeting was good. He wanted me to meet with others in the organization to get a feel for how we would work together. Meeting with those 2 individuals was fine as well for the 2nd and 3rd meeting. 4th meeting was with him again and since I had sales and Saas experience but no experience in the radiology industry he gave me the option of doing a role play of a Junior Account Executive doing a discovery call with the goal of getting an appointment with an Account Executive for a demo or explaining the Radiology Industry in order to show that I would be good to do the job. I chose the Discovery call and then on my schedule would set up the next call with him and the other 2 individuals I met within the company the next week. 5th meeting after the call, he gave me feedback of what I could improve upon about asking certain follow up questions and making sure certain details weren't missed. Overall, I thought the Discovery call was good, not perfect considering I hadn't had any internal training or at least the chance to listen to previous calls within the company yet to get a good grasp of their approach. I was basically going in with only outside material to learn on my own such as their website and competitor's websites. But I felt like it was expected that I should've held the meeting as if I was already within the company and completed any type of training. He said I didn't get the job but in 6 months(?) I should reapply but he'd like to have a coaching session with me about my call and schedule a time with him. For the things that were mentioned that needed improvement it wouldn't take 6 months to fix. But I scheduled a time with him for a few days out and he canceled on me on the day of the meeting. Told me to reschedule the following week, I did that and he ghosted me and never showed up to the meeting. I then did a follow up email and he ghosted me again. Really unprofessional experience.
