After seeing the job online (no company name mentioned in ad or on initial phone interview) I went into the office for a 2 hour interview with managers of 2 locations. The Asian woman doing most of the questioning told me that I am too fair colored and washed out looking, so would be expected to wear a lot of make-up! She also wanted to know what kind of clothing I would wear to work...I said business attire...she wanted to know exactly what that meant, and added that they do not allow spaghetti strap tops like the last employee they fired! Then they asked if I was a car, what kind of car would I be?! She also said that she was a single mother and although I was a "mature" woman, like most of her students, she wanted to know how I could relate to single mothers since I didn't have any children! . The woman said that since their students sat in the main room I would always have to whisper, outside of my office. And on breaks, I could use the microwave & fridge in the small lunch room shared with students but would have to eat in a spare class room instead. If it was being used, then there was the closet sized electrical room to have lunch in instead! At some point the 2 managers got sidetracked and talked about a Jon Benet movie being filmed nearby!
