I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Acquire Automation (Fishers, IN) in Sept 2019
Interview
Spoke with the HR manager over the phone. I was overtly impressed as she did a great job making clear what how the interview process is, the benefits, pay, expertise necessary (which for the record, very few HR managers and scouts actually know what a PLC is so props to her), and why it was a great company. She was by far the best HR manager I interviewed with EVER!
Came in for an interview and had lunch with the HR manager, then spoke with the department manager, I wasn't as impressed with his interview technique. Seemed very happy to work there but I think our personalities clashed too much. He felt very much like he was on the defense the majority of the interview. He also allowed me to conduct the majority of the interview as he had very little to say and even fewer questions to ask beyond the technical review. Maybe I asked too many questions about the glassdoor and indeed reviews.
After the interview he showed me around the shop and the test setups they had that day and I was thoroughly impressed with the company. Everyone I spoke to was extremely courteous and I definitely liked the company. I would have taken a job with them in a heartbeat if it was extended as I felt this company has much opportunity to expand in the future and even with the blips on their glassdoor and Indeed reviews, they are clearly striving in the right direction. Maybe in another life?
