Due to overwhelming responses to most of the roles we post, our Talent Acquisition (TA) colleague would normally conduct a short screening call with candidates shortlisted by our recruitment system. The basic objective of the screening call is to do a quick initial assessment of potential fit, including verbal communication, cultural fit, and personality. It is not a formal interview or in-depth discussion, and we normally establish this understanding at the beginning of the screening call to avoid misunderstanding
We are sorry if in this instance our TA colleague did not communicate as clearly as she normally would. Nevertheless, be assured the hiring manager is always prepared to answer any questions regarding the role or the company during the formal interview with shortlisted candidates.
