Contacted by recuriter quickly after applying, and the phone interview is about 7 minutes, just list the background and experience related with the each requirement of the position. But also got rejection quickly in two days later. recuriter is very nice and polite.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Active Network (Vancouver, BC) in May 2016
Interview
I was e-mailed by the recruiter to take the online cognitive assessment that others have described.
A couple days later, the recruiter e-mailed me to inform me she'd like to have a brief phone call, which we scheduled to take place two days later. I was then cancelled on twice in a row, and informed of the cancellation only a few minutes before the scheduled call, because she had to attend meetings (which is understandable, things happen, though it worried me a bit). Eventually, we did have the phone call, which was pretty straight-forward. She asked me a few basic non-technical questions (including expected salary) and told me she'd like to forward my resume to the local hiring team.
About two weeks later I was e-mailed by the same recruiter and informed that they'd like to schedule a telephone interview, which we scheduled to take place in a few days. I was told in advance that I'd be speaking to a Software Architecture Manager.
From my perspective the phone interview seemed to go well. I was asked a variety of questions, many which required me to give detailed explanations, but there were no technical programming questions (I assume they wait for the in-person interview for that). The only setback was that it was a little difficult for me to understand the person I was speaking with, as she had a heavy accent. I did manage to at least get the gist of everything she said, but it was somewhat of an issue. The phone call lasted about 40 minutes.
