      Product Manager Interview

      7 Nov 2013
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Actix in Oct 2013

      Interview

The telephone interview (arranged via an agency) was regarding a Product Management role. The technical questions actually asked - by 2 existing Product Managers - were at the level of a graduate engineer, purely memory related rather than technology knowledge related or regarding the needed experience and approach to skills most needed for such a role. The exact same role was re-posted online in 1-2 days later (by the same agency) with only a title change - as a Technology Architect role, clearly inconsistent and irrelevant.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Obsession with specific contents of L3 protocol messages (easily found in known specs) - little to do with a Product Management role.
