The interviewing process was timely, direct, and professional. The leaders who met with me were transparent about the local financial turmoil and purchase transition with the prior company that ran the organization. I was able to meet with, ask questions of, and follow up with local as well as corporate leadership. The interviewing personnel demonstrated thorough "vetting" of my education and professional credentials. The hiring process is "as expected" in the environment the organization, as well as long term health care, is currently surviving. Resources, of every kind are limited, however, something noticeable that sets Acuity apart from other health care organizations I have been working with is there is genuine "team" effort from the "sister organizations" in other states. Immediately, I am being given a platform on which to find a "best practice" or "wheel" already invented" when it comes to patient care, policies, processes and effective quality outcomes. The general culture I am witnessing is "let's work together, set and prioritize our goals, and help one another not only achieve those goals but also go above and beyond the requirements to provide excellent care to long term acutely ill individuals and their families.
