Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and for being honest about where things fell short. You’re absolutely right to feel disappointed, and I want to say I’m really sorry.
You put time, care, and thought into the process, and you deserved that same level of care in return. I take full accountability for not following through. It’s not the experience we want to create, and it’s not aligned with the standards we set for ourselves.
The truth is, I’ve been in the middle of a very heavy hiring stretch, and while that’s not an excuse, it is the reality behind where I dropped the ball. I got overwhelmed, fell behind, and didn’t always show up the way I meant to. I’m grateful you called that out. Your feedback has really stuck with me and sparked a lot of reflection and commitment to doing better going forward.
We talk a lot at Acuity about humanizing hiring, and that has to mean showing humility too, especially when we miss the mark. Thank you for the reminder to slow down, reset, and do better.
