      Fullstack Developer Interview

      8 Jan 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Tallinn
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Adcash (Tallinn)

      Interview

The first interview was pretty positive. After that they gave a test assignment, which was actually almost like an MVP for a small startup. I spent a week working on it and pushed it on Github with a proper huge Readme written according to best practices. Then I spent another week waiting for the results of my implementation. They liked it and asked me to wait for the next step. There was supposed to be a technical interview with the WHOLE TEAM, where they were supposed to ask some questions about the implementation of the test task. I waited another week for this interview. During this meeting they started asking irrelevant theoretical questions. Overall I answered most of the questions, and some of them were even ridiculously easy, but today they sent me a rejection email. And during the interview, for some reason, they repeated my answers in different words. And I don’t really know if they were expecting the right answer or a “sentence” that would match their expectations word for word. I showed my implementation to a few friends and they also thought that after such a big test task the company should have already sent a offer. What a big waste of time and effort.

      Question 1

There were different theoretical questions starting from database structure till React Hooks and in general I answered to most of them positively but for some unknown reason it was not enough for them

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your interview experience. We apologize that it didn't meet your expectations and appreciate the time you took to provide your insights. We understand your frustration with the lengthy test assignment and the waiting periods between stages. Your effort in creating a comprehensive solution is valued, and we regret that the process felt disconnected. We also acknowledge that the technical interview questions may not have aligned with your work. We are actively working to improve our interview process by making assignments shorter and more focused, reducing waiting times, and aligning questions better with candidates' submissions. Your feedback is crucial in helping us enhance the experience for future candidates. We appreciate your candid review.

      Anonymous employee
      Tallinn
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Adcash (Tallinn) in Jan 2020

      Interview

Basically, you get a technical task from them. This should be fairly easy to do and make sure to submit your best work. You get invited for a technical interview if the team is satisfied with your technical task. During the interview, you'll be asked real-life scenario-based questions which again, should not be much of an issue if you're at least an intermediate level developer who follows lots of industry-standard best practices. Then you get a final interview with the CEO, after which you get the offer.
