I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Advanced Mold Diagnostics (Broomall, PA) in Apr 2018
Interview
I just had my second I interview with this company. The first was with a gentleman named Gary, on April 7th. He reviewed my resume, had me fill out some standard paperwork and then administered a short test. The test was basic common sense and reminded me of SAT prep or IQ test questions. Gary reviewed the test, said I did well and then went over the job responsibilities in more detail answering and questions I had regarding the day to day operation. He told me that they had other potential prospects scheduled but there would be a second interview scheduled with the owner of I made it that far. I called once and left a message checking in to see where I stood. I heard back from them on April 16th to schedule a second interview.
Today, April 17th, was the second interview. I met with Craig, the owner. He went over everything that Gary did, talked a little about the job and asked me about my previous experience. He also talked a bit about the people who previously held this position. It seems like there is a very high turnover for this job, but that they have had a few really bad experiences in hiring people who were not a great fit and presented themselves to be something they weren't. I was told that I was the third interview just today and they have more scheduled. I might be called back for a third or even fourth meeting. Craig said that basically they really wanted to get a sense of who people were.
I understand their need to be cautious based on their previous experience in hiring the wrong people. That being said, I really want this job more than any others I have interviewed for and have already turned down one offer because of it. Luckily I am in the enviable position of being able to do so only because my husband is currently able to cover our expenses long enough that I do not have to take the first or even third offer that came my way. I cannot however continue to turn down opportunities with no end in sight to the interview process with this company and no guarantee of actually getting a job with them. I hope they will call me back in and get a better idea of who I am by the third interview and I'll take it from there as far as continuing my job hunt or holding out for their decision.
