The agency briefed me about the job, and I had a second-round discussion with one of the Advent talent leaders. The conversation covered some basic details. Despite meeting all the requirements, I’m not sure what exactly they’re looking for in their team. From what I’ve seen on LinkedIn, some of the profiles they’ve hired don’t match my level of education and experience, yet my application was rejected. It seems they may prefer female candidates from a sales background who can be placed for just to satisfy hiring manager ego. This isn’t the first time I’ve encountered such a situation.
