Wasn't asked anything about my experience or about Product Management, but I was asked "teach me something new". I'm assuming the interviewer was fairly new to hiring and got these "smart" questions from the web - these kinds of questions used to be trendy in tech about 10 years ago, but they've generally been discarded due to their irrelevance. It's unfortunate that Affirm still uses these questions.
I was a little unprepared for it and did try to answer with something work related, but not sure what the interviewer was expecting - next time, I'll maybe try to impress them with something obscure like moth reproduction cycles they might find my ability to talk about that relevant to Product Management at Affirm.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Affirm in Sept 2021
Interview
Recruiter phone call screening, hiring manager interview, 2 PM interviews with case studies, loop with 6 people from the team, loop with VP and stakeholders, final interview with hiring manager, verbal offer and full contracts after 1-2 days. Total process took about 2 weeks
