      Interactive Coordinator Interview

      21 Mar 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Boston, MA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Agency Oasis (Boston, MA) in Nov 2014

      Interview

I signed up for an informational interview with Agency Oasis at an on campus recruiting event. The interview went well, and I was asked to come to Boston for an in person interview. They asked me on a Friday to come to Boston the next week, so they gave me very little notice. I drove 5+ hours to Boston in heavy traffic and bad weather and went through their interview process. I spoke with six different employees of the firm and they asked me about my various skills and told me a little bit about what they do on a day to day basis. I thought that the people were very friendly who I spoke with and I had a very good conversation with a lot of them. After the interviews were over they said they would let me know in the next few weeks. After I left, I never heard back from them. If they weren't prepared to make me an offer they should have had the decency to at least extend a thank you for interviewing and say something like "unfortunately at this time we cannot offer you a position." That would have been the right thing to do, particularly after I sacrificed a lot of time and money to come to interview at their company. They often talk a lot about company culture in their interviews, and I think it says a lot about their company culture that they don't have the decency to at least inform people who interview at their company of their status as an applicant. I would keep this in mind before interviewing.
