I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Air Line Pilots Association, International in May 2018
Interview
Individually the people were fine, collectively, their process is thoughtless and inconsiderate. They had little respect for the schedule or feelings of job seekers. Incredibly painful - they force you to sit through a benefits review before any decision is made, creating false hope. They sprung a large writing project late in the afternoon one day, and expected it back by noon the next day. Also huge application and background check. Truly awful, awful process. Do no recommend. Salaries are kind of low anyway.

Interview
Interviewed for a communications role supporting United Airlines pilots in Rosemont outside of O"Hare Airport. Went through numerous rounds - which went very well - with the folks - and was basically down to a "what's an offer look like to you and when can you start?"
Then heard nothing and then received a phone call from their HR person who allowed some coworker's friend to apply after the process and told me that they hired that person because he was an internal referral.
Yet, went and looked up this person a few weeks later on LinkedIn and they had zero matching qualifications, whatsoever.
