Standard interviews but unprofessional and weird when given offer
Interview was standard and as most described here:
Recruiter call - Standard
Online assessment - 45 minute coding question, easier than standard
Onsite: 3x Interviews.
1. Experience + coding question with Eng Manager
2. Experience + harder coding question with Eng Manager 2
3. Experience + Sys design with Eng director
Got an offer 2 days later over the phone. Recruiter said a manager would call me 4 hours later to discuss roles/responsibilities. No communication that day. Next day follow up, they say enjoy the weekend, we'll get back to you Monday. On Monday, followed up, no response. On Tuesday, got a call saying the offer was rescinded. Their 1 sentence explanation was "we sat down and tried to figure out where you would go and under what manager you would belong and realized its not a fit" or something like that. DIdn't push for more info on the phone, kinda in shock. Next day follow up with recruiter asking for feedback; left on read.
